Broad Lane Alcester- Fond Farewell
21 May 2007
On the 18th May 1991, just one month after the Alcester depot opened its doors, a “relatively” young Iris Beech joined the team heading up the Accounts Department.
A tremendously well organised person, with a willing attitude, dogged determination and a clear mind, Iris quickly established a robust and efficient system which has been finely honed and tuned over the years to give perfect results every time. Birmingham born, Iris moved to Redditch where eventually in 1996 she became the Mayor and has constantly and tirelessly worked as a Town Councillor defending her ward and assisting the people of Redditch for over 15 years.
Married to Ray, Iris eventually became a convert to caravanning and has enjoyed many a rally with the Swift Owners Club and friends made through Broad Lane. Currently Iris and Ray have a Swift Fairway 2007 model and ~ after 16 years, she has eventually convinced the Brown family to let her go to pastures new in Lincolnshire where she is planning a retirement of relaxation and even more caravanning!
We would like to wish them both well and sincerely thank Iris for her unrivalled dedication, commitment and patience. Good luck in your retirement.
